AGREEMENT FOR HALL RENTAL

1. FEES: Upon the payment of a non-refundable reservation fee of $100.00, the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad (IVRS) agrees to permit the Renter to use the hall for the date and times, as mentioned above. The remaining $300.00 is due no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to your rental date. If the balance is not received within the allotted time, your reservation will be forfeited and the date re-opened for usage. When the hall is satisfactorily cleaned after the event, and no damage is incurred (see item #8), $100.00 will be refunded within two (2) weeks after the rental date. However, in the event that the hall is not cleaned in the same manner you assumed possession of this renatl, a penalty fee of $50.00 per half hour will be charged for IVRS to clean the premises.
2. CANCELLATION: Should you decide to cancel your reservation, the amount received is refundable upon written request to the IVRS, minus the non-refundable deposit of $100.00.
3. MINIMUM AGE: You must be eighteen (18) years of age to rent the IVRS and provide proper identification (i.e. valid driver's license).
4.HOURS OF AGE: The IVRS is available for use starting at 8:00 a.m.; however, events must end by midnight and IVRS must be cleaned and locked by 1:00 a.m. This rental agreement is set for six (6) hours, which includes set-up and take down time.Each additional hour beyond this six (6) hour timeframe costs $50.00; under no condition will the event exceed midnight.
5. RIGHT OF REFUSAL: The IVRS reserves the right to refuse rental of this facility to anyone.
6. ADMISSION FEES, TICKET,DONATIONS,ETC: No tickets, admission charges or donations will be allowed at IVRS unless a written letter is submitted for IVRS approval. It is MANDATORY that your request is submitted thirty (30) calendar days prior to your event.
7. DECORATIONS: Decorations may only be taped to walls with permission of an on-site member. Balloons must be tethered to prevent interference with the air circulation systems. Use of confetti or glitter is strictly prohibited.
8. CLEANUP: The Renter is responsible for cleanup of the kitchen, if used, and removal of decorations. The floors shall be swept and mopped, after the event, for food and liquid spills; including the restrooms. cans, bottles, cigarette butts and other litter shall not be discarded outside the building. All trash must be bagged and deposited in the dumpster located by the building.
9. FURNISHINGS: There are 200 folding chairs and 12, 6 foot diameter round banquet tables and 12, 8 foot rectangular tables. It is the Renter's responsibility to set up the tables and chairs and then return them to the storage racks after use. Table tops shall be cleaned before returning them to the storage racks.
10.SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the IVRS.
11. BUILDING CAPACITY: The number of persons attending any function shall not exceed the capacity of the building; as mandated by the Fire Marshal; of 167 seated persons or 320 standing persons.
12. LEGAL: The Renter shall comply with all the laws of the United States and the State of Maryland, in its said use, and shall not permit anything to be done on siad premises in violation thereof. If you violate any of the terms or conditions of this Agreement, the IVRS shall have the right to immediately terminate this agreement without notice or refund, and may persue all of its rights and remedies at law or inequity including, without limitation, the right to recover court costs and attorney fees. The Renter hereby agrees to indeminify and hols the IVRS harmless from and against any and all claims, including any claimed litigation expenses, court costs or attorney fees arising out of the Renter's said use of these premises and to indemnify and hold IVRS harmless from and against any judgment based on any such claims.
13.INSURANCE: The Renter hereby acknowledges notice that the IVRS is not insured for "Host Liquor Liability" coverage. If the Renter furnishes alcoholic beverages at the event, the IVRS strongly recommends the Renter acquire host liquor liability coverage. In any event, the Renter hereby agrees to indeminify and hold IVRS harmless from and against any and all claims, including any claimed litigation expenses, court costs or attorney fees arising out of Renter's said use of these premises and to indemnify and hold said IVRS harmless from and against any judgement based on any such claims.
14. PERSONAL PROPERTY: The IVRS assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any property placed in or on said premises by the Renter and/or Renter's guests and the IVRS is hereby expressly released and discharged by Renter from any and all liability for any such loss. All personal property must be removed from the premises at the conclusion of the event.
I agree to the above terms and conditions. I recognize, and am fully aware, that if I determine not to purchase seperate liquor liability insurance for this event, I may be held liable for damages or injuries that may result if alcoholic beverages are furnished at this event.
