Remembering Captain Charlie Henderson

By Chief Bertie Spalding
February 24, 2014

On this date, 24 years ago, Captain Charlie Henderson died in the line of duty while assisting 2 young boys in a tree. As he was attempting to cover them with a blanket, it came in contact with an electrical line. This was a great loss to this organization.
Contact SMECO (or your local power company) if you have lines going through a tree on your property which children (young or old) like to climb. Keep everyone safe!
