EMS Day for Kids MAY 25 - Since May 17-23 was National EMS Week; on Saturday, May 23rd we held an EMS Day for Kids. Our slogan for this event was " EMS- Making a Difference Everyday". Sunshine the Clown provided entertainment for the kids (and adults). We also had a Purple Dinosaur Moonbounce, games, prizes and free food! A special thanks to Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department for bringing a fire truck for the kids to see; John Hackley, Charles County Communications, easing kids fear of calling 911 and Irving Harris Photography for donating the popcorn machine and needed ... Passing of Charles County Rescue Squad President, Susie Spalding APRIL 23 - The members of the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Charles County Rescue Squad and the family of President Susie Spalding who passed on Wednesday, April 22. Nanjemoy Fire Dept Drill House NOVEMBER 10 - On Sunday, November 2 & Sunday, November 9 we participated in a drill house burn, led by Kelly Crouse, conducted by the Nanjemoy Fire Department. Janyce receives the President's Award

Annual Banquet OCTOBER 11 - On Saturday, September 27, 2008 we celebrated our 44th year of service with our annual banquet. During this time we show appreciation to our members for all their dedication during the last fiscal year. From July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 we had 516 calls, on 41 of those we lacked the personnel to respond. ( Can you volunteer a couple hours a week or month to help us?).
